Ronaldo had a stunning 2006-07 for Manchester United, being the star of the club's Premiership winning campaign, and scoring 23 goals in all competitions.
There were question marks over whether the winger could keep it going, or of it would turn out to be a flash in the pan.
However, the Portuguese international has stunned even his strongest of backers by producing some dazzling performances. He already has 22 goals in 25 games this season, and could well end up with 40, a phenomenal figure for a winger.
Teammate Namanja Vidic believes there is little that can stop Ronaldo's juggernaut at the moment given the way he has dismissed the pressure on him.
"We are very strong with him," Vidic told MUTV. "Last season was a great season for him, he scored so many goals.
"He was under big pressure to improve again this season and, up to now, he has played great in the games and in training.
"Every game you need to improve at this club.
"Everybody has sides to their game that they can improve and he has tried to fix his in training."
